988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

Too often, people with mental illness do not receive a mental health response when experiencing a mental health crisis. Instead, people in crisis often encounter law enforcement and crowded emergency departments rather than a mental health professional. People in crisis deserve better. The lack of a robust mental health crisis system leads to tragic results.

2024 WALK

Our team, the Burlington Stigma Stompers, is participating in the  NAMIWalks NJ event and have committed to raising funds to help NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) provide more services for people living with mental health challenges. Our team fundraising goal is $5,000. We could use your support to make it the rest of the way to our goal.

NAMI WALK 2024 Date: To Be Determined

NAMI Burlington County NJ

NAMI envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares.

NAMI provides advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

  • Hope: We believe in the possibility of recovery, wellness and the potential in all of us.
  • Inclusion: We embrace diverse backgrounds, cultures and perspectives.
  • Empowerment: We promote confidence, self-efficacy and service to our mission.
  • Compassion: We practice respect, kindness and empathy.

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

We are committed to a nondiscriminatory approach and to providing equal opportunity for employment, participation and advancement in all programs and worksites.

NAMI Walks 2022

"Walk for Mental Health for All"

NAMI New Jersey held its first virtual Walk: NAMIWalks Your Way on September 26, 2020. NAMI Burlington County, NJ had a great time walking at Strawbridge Lake, Moorestown that very morning in support of Mental Health For All!

Thanks to the great work of NAMI Burlington County’s fierce advocates! The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Burlington proclaim October 7 through October 13, 2018 as Mental Health Awareness Week, to shine a light on mental illness and fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for equal care. See the proclamation.

NAMI Burlington County was invited to participate in the Seneca High School Corn Maze that was arranged by the students of the Psychology Club on Wednesday evening October 24th.  The chilly activity was enjoyed by the students and, while there, they learned about mental health and the role that NAMI can have in managing mental illness.

Thank you for your generosity.
